Care Tips

Newly shipped LSU Purple Fig starters should not be placed in intense direct sunlight. Keep in a bright location without direct sun initially, then gradually increase sun exposure. Maintain soil moisture during the first year without overwatering. As the plant matures, allow some soil drying between waterings and reduce watering during winter dormancy. Yellowing or leaf drop can occur from shipping stress or natural dormancy; dormant plants may arrive leafless and re-leaf when conditions warm.

Live Plant Notice

Live plants naturally vary in size, shape, foliage, and appearance. Depending on the season and shipping conditions, plants may arrive dormant, leafless, pruned, bare root, or show minor shipping stress such as wilting or leaf loss.
