Growing or Planting Information

Sun Requirements: Full sun to partial shade. Soil: Moist to wet soil; adaptable to boggy conditions. Watering: High moisture preference; do not allow the root zone to become excessively dry. Mature height: Approximately 2–5 feet. Growth: Fast and spreading under favorable conditions. USDA Zones: 4–9. Container Friendly: Yes; container growing is often preferred for controlling spread.

Care Tip: Plant promptly after arrival and maintain consistently moist soil while the plant establishes. Horsetail spreads via underground rhizomes, so growing it in a sturdy container without drainage access to surrounding soil helps prevent unwanted spreading.
