About This Plant
Caladiums are tropical, tuberous perennials with colorful, patterned foliage. The Caladium ‘Scarlet Mary’ cultivar features colorful, ornamental leaves with natural variation in color distribution and pattern. Newly emerging foliage may change as it unfolds. These are starter plants associated with 2-inch nursery pots and are not fully rooted into the pot. Seasonal dormancy is possible, during which foliage may yellow or decline while the tuber remains viable.
What You Will Receive
2 exact live starter plants of Caladium ‘Scarlet Mary’. Listing indicates two exact plants pictured; actual plant size and appearance may vary and will be smaller than mature specimens shown. Plants are described as starter plants and come with 2-inch nursery pots in a listed form, though pot inclusion is subject to verification due to conflicting shipping information.
Growing or Planting Information
Caladiums are seasonally dormant tubers. They prefer bright, filtered or indirect light and well-draining, moisture-retentive growing medium. Moderate watering during active growth is recommended. Expect natural variation in size, foliage density, and color. Dormancy may cause foliage loss or yellowing while the plant remains viable.
Live Plant Notice
Live plants naturally vary in size, shape, foliage, and appearance. Depending on the season and shipping conditions, plants may arrive dormant, leafless, pruned, bare root, or show minor shipping stress such as wilting or leaf loss.
Listing photos may show a mature plant for reference. The plant you receive may be younger or smaller depending on the size and condition stated in this listing.
